Hello, I have a issue with restoring virtual servers via ghettoVCB-restore.sh.
I'm using ESXi 5.1 build 799733 on Dell R620 with local datastore and backing to/from NFS connected storage (Gbps). Virtual disk is thick provisioned, with size 100GB, and Centos 6 inside is using about 25GB on one ext4 and xfs partition.
When I backup it to thin provisioned disk it takes about 12 minutes making vmdk file about 57GB large with about a 105MBps speed.
The issue is restoring. Restoring takes over 40 minutes and it has strange spikes in speed, see image bellow. Most of the time its about 35MBps with Gbps spikes.. I dont see any problems on target storage or on switch, etc.. Both servers are on the same Gbit network.
Second and minor issue is the size of thin provisioned disk, I would expect less than 57GB, but its okay with me this way..
Is this normal? Have you ever experienced this?
